Tanduay

Tanduay is the Philippines' most iconic rum brand and currently holds the title of the world's best-selling rum by volume. Founded in 1854, it is one of the country's oldest heritage brands, crafted from locally sourced sugarcane and molasses primarily in Negros Occidental. The rum is known for its distinctively bold and full-bodied character, featuring rich notes of caramel, vanilla, and tropical fruits developed through aging in charred oak barrels. Its portfolio ranges from the standard 5-year-old "Rhum Dark" to premium expressions like the 12-year-old "Superior" and the "Double Rum" blend. With an alcohol content typically ranging from 27.5% (Tanduay Light) to 40% ABV for its standard rums, Tanduay remains a staple of Filipino drinking culture, often enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or mixed with cola.
